The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a government energy efficiency scheme covering England, Scotland, and Wales, aimed at reducing carbon emissions and addressing fuel poverty.
The scheme began in April 2013 and has undergone several amendments over time. The ECO3 scheme closed on 31 March 2022. The latest policy, ECO4, applies to measures completed from 1 April 2022 and will cover a four-year period until 31 March 2026.

Heating upgrades available FREE with Government Funded Schemes scheme
Please note:
- Gas boiler upgrades are available only to property owners.
- Gas boiler first-time central heating can only be installed in properties that have never had a wet central heating system.
- To qualify for a gas boiler upgrade or first-time central heating, your property must have had a gas meter installed before 1st April 2022 and it must still be present at the time of installation.
- Solar PV installations are possible only alongside an Air Source Heat Pump, Electric Storage Heaters, or in properties where these systems are already installed.
- If you own your home and have old Electric Storage Heaters, you may be eligible for new High Heat Retention Electric Storage Heaters.
- If your home lacks insulation in cavity walls or roofs, it will be installed free of charge as part of the project.
We will assess your property and if there is any additional insulation needed, it will be discussed with you and will be FREE if you qualify through Government Funded Schemes.

What happens after you apply for funding?
The application process for Government funding is straightforward, and you could receive your FREE heating upgrade and insulation quickly we will support you from the beginning of your application until the installation is completed.
Evergreen Group provides direct funding for Government Funded Schemes and collaborates with a select group of fully accredited installation partners to ensure the highest quality installation
Once we receive your application, we will conduct a few checks and then contact you to confirm details and request permission to complete a benefit check. We will also discuss potential installations for your property and schedule a survey at a convenient time for you.
A free, no-obligation survey will be conducted at your property by one of our installation partners. The installation company will then confirm what can be installed. You can cancel at any time before the installation takes place, at no cost.
A date will be scheduled to complete the work, and some paperwork will need to be signed. All work is performed by qualified professionals and is covered by an insurance-backed guarantee.
